VELA’s producer was hired to lead the creative content team for EWC Chess this year. He was responsible for organizing all creative content for broadcast, as well as producing the full package of broadcast video assets.
Starting in preproduction, we worked with the tournament team to outline every video to be created and define the overall style and tone for the broadcast. Media Day was planned and run by the creative producer, making sure all interviews, features, and highlight segments were captured in one structured shoot.
During the event, the content team handled editing and delivery on a daily schedule to keep broadcast coverage fresh and timely. Over the course of five days, more than 50 videos were produced, edited, and delivered to broadcast, ranging from player features to event highlights.
The result was a consistent creative presence across the entire show that supported storytelling and enhanced the overall viewer experience.
