Rainbow Six Siege: NAL Season 1-3

VELA was brought on as Lead Producer for 3 seasons of North American league for R6. Each season consisted of 3 stages and a major, totally 30+ episodes per season.

As Lead Producer, VELA oversaw the entire live broadcast from top to bottom. This included building the run of show, collaborating with the graphics team on both the visual direction and seamless integration, developing the content breakdown, and working closely with the client throughout the process. VELA was deeply involved in the day-to-day operations of the R6 NAL across all three seasons—executing both the strategies we developed internally and the goals set by the client.

On the technical side, VELA coordinated across multiple departments to ensure smooth execution during live shows, managing timing, troubleshooting on the fly, and adapting quickly to changes in the broadcast flow. Our close partnership with the client was built on trust and consistent communication, allowing us to stay aligned on creative goals and deliver a polished, high-quality product every time.

Rainbow Six Siege: Charlotte Major

As the final R6 event contracted by Ubisoft, this show marked a major milestone—it was the first live audience event in over three years due to the COVID shutdown. With more than 3,000 fans in attendance, the pressure was high to deliver an unforgettable experience both in-person and on stream.

Like many live productions, this event came with its own set of challenges—most notably a bomb threat that forced an evacuation and set the production timeline back significantly. Despite the setback, VELA rallied the team, restructured the day, and brought the show back on schedule just in time for the audience's arrival.

Being able to pull off a seamless, high-energy broadcast under such circumstances was a proud moment for our team—and a meaningful way to close out our time on R6. It was a true celebration of the community, the game, and the people who made it all possible.

Rainbow Six Siege: Mexico Major

As Lead Producer of the R6 NAL, VELA was also tapped to help lead production on the R6 Mexico Major—the first international Major held since the COVID shutdown. With added pressure to deliver a standout show, the team rose to the occasion, adapting to the unique opportunity of producing without a live audience. This opened the door for more creative camera angles and cinematic broadcast shots that would typically be limited by audience sightlines.

Without the constraints of a live crowd, we were able to push the visual language of the show further, placing greater emphasis on storytelling, motion graphics, and immersive pacing throughout the broadcast.

Producing a high-end international broadcast in Mexico came with its own set of challenges—from managing remote teams and navigating limited local infrastructure to ensuring smooth communication across multiple time zones. Despite the hurdles, the team delivered a polished, globally-viewed show that set a new bar for post-COVID esports events.
